Centennial Celebration
Our Centennial Celebration plans are well under way. The Sensational Southwest/Central Texas Cluster will host our
75th South Central Regional Conference November 1-4, 2007 in Austin, Texas. Sorors, this will be a very special
conference. We will not only celebrate our diamond anniversary, but the month of November 2007 belongs only
to South Central Region. Each region has been slated a month to participate in the countdown to the sorority’s
100th anniversary by celebrating their own rich heritage prior to the 2008 Boule.

Your Cluster Team Leaders are working with representatives from each undergraduate and graduate chapter to
help plan our celebration activities. Chapter Basilei, if you have not already done so, please appoint a small
committee within your chapter to work with our Cluster Team Leaders. These Sorors will bring your suggestions
and help coordinate celebration plans. We are also looking for Sorors with experience in public relations to support
efforts for our Centennial Publicity Team. Submit names today to your designated Cluster Team Leader.

Plans are being made especially with you in mind. Updates on commemorative and celebration activities will be
presented at your upcoming Cluster meetings. Be sure and look for the application forms for the Unsung Soror
Awards, and honor that special soror for all her unselfish efforts. She has worked hard and deserves your
recognition. Forms are also available to submit your delicious recipes for our Regional Cookbook – on sale next
Spring! Time for all the soror cooks to show your stuff and share your cherished recipes. The cookbook will have
a special section with stories and recipes from your South Central Supremes and Regional Directors, so join in the
fun and fellowship.

You won’t want to miss having your very own Centennial Historical Calendar. This calendar will feature pictures and
information from across our region with chapter chartering dates, pictures of our South Central Past Supreme
Basilei, Regional Directors and Sorors that have served the region proudly over the years.

The Centennial Celebration Committee is planning many memorable activities for our diamond anniversary and we
want Every Soror to Participate. After all, it’s our seventy-fifth anniversary.

With Sisterly Love,

Soror Donnetta A. Henry
