Not Applicable Greetings! I hope this note finds you in good spirits and health. I am Dorian Jordan, a resident of the Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas area. The purpose for my letter is to express my sincere interest in your esteemed organization, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. I am reaching out to you to verify if I am following the correct protocol when inquiring about participating in public events and membership. I have been researching your organization through the official national website and I am very interested in learning more about your sorority on a local level. I have noticed there is a graduate chapter (Chi Zeta Omega chapter) located in the Plano, TX area. I contacted the President a few years ago with no response. I have continued to review the chapter's website, along with the upcoming events section to keep abreast of any public events the chapter may hold in the future this spring. Graduate Chapter My name is Deitra Ford-Kendrick and I am a graduate of Grambling State University (B.S.) and Texas Southern University (M. Ed.). I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree at Nova University online. I have had an interest in Alpha Kappa Alpha since I was a young lady in undergraduate school. I have family and friends that are very active in AKA and I too desire to network and develop friendhships, utilize my leadership abilities, serve the community through sisterhood and be a role model for other young girls in my family and community.
